Vehilux™ Tesla Model Y - Floormats (2020 -2023)

Thank you for choosing Vehilux™  Carpets for your 2020-2023 Tesla Model Y. This 3-piece set is designed specifically for your vehicle and includes:

1 driver’s mat,

1 passenger’s mat and

1 rear mat.

To ensure your Vehilux™ Carpets function properly, please follow these installation instructions carefully.

     

    Before Installing Your New Vehilux™ Carpets

     
    • Remove any items or debris from the vehicle floor area, including any existing floor mats -- remove all other floormats. Vehilux™ Carpets should rest directly on the floor of the vehicle.
    • Remove the Vehilux™ Carpets from their packaging. Carpets that have been folded or rolled may take 24 hours at room temperature to relax into a flat position. This is natural. Allow more time in colder temperatures or place the mat in a warmer, secure location before installation.

     

    Installing the DRIVER'S Carpeted Mat 
    • Locate the product tag on the back of the Carpeted Mat and verify it says, “DRIVER,” (as illustrated here).
    • Adjust the driver’s seat to the rearmost position.
    • DO NOT stack one floormat on top of another.
    • Position the Vehilux™ Carpet in the driver’s floor area.
    • Position the Vehilux™ Carpet with the carpet side facing up.
    • DO NOT use a floor mat that is flipped over with the bottom side facing up.
    • Ensure the Vehilux™ Carpet is centered left-to-right and front-to-back in the designated floor area. Lift and reposition as needed to ensure the floormat is flat, in full contact with the floor and aligned with sidewalls.
    • Check the operation of the accelerator, brake and clutch (if applicable) pedals to ensure that the floormat does not interfere with them.
    • WARNING: If the driver’s floormat is not properly installed, it can interfere with the operation of these pedals, which can cause loss of vehicle control, such as unintended acceleration and/or reduced access to braking. This could lead to a crash causing injury or death.
    • Before driving, always check to ensure the Vehilux™ Carpet is positioned properly.

     

    Installing the PASSENGER'S Carpeted Mat 

    • Locate the product tag on the back of the Carpeted Mat and verify it says, “PASSENGER,” (as illustrated here).
    • Adjust the seat to the rearmost position.
    • Position the Vehilux™ Carpet in the designated floor area.
    • Position the Vehilux™ Carpet with the carpet side facing up.
    • Ensure the Vehilux™ Carpet is centered left-to-right and front-to-back in the designated floor area. Lift and reposition as needed to ensure the floormat is flat, in full contact with the floor and aligned with sidewalls. Periodically check to ensure the Vehilux™ Carpet is positioned properly.

     

    

    Installing the REAR'S Carpeted Mat 

    • Locate the product tag on the back of the Carpeted Mat and verify it says, “REAR,” (as illustrated here).
    • Adjust the seat to the forwardmost position.
    • Position the Vehilux™ Carpet in the designated floor area.
    • Position the Vehilux™ Carpet with the carpet side facing up.
    • Ensure the Vehilux™ Carpet is centered left-to-right and front-to-back in the designated floor area. Lift and reposition as needed to ensure the floormat is flat, in full contact with the floor and aligned with sidewalls. Periodically check to ensure the  Vehilux™ Carpet is positioned properly.

     

    Caring for Your New Vehilux™ Carpets

    • Vehilux™ Carpets are easy and hassle-free to maintain. Dust and dirt are easily brushed off, shaken out, or vacuumed whenever they accumulate from normal use. You can use a handheld or standard vacuum with a hose attachment.
    • Spot-clean any stains or spills on the Carpets as soon as possible. Use a mild detergent or carpet cleaner and a damp cloth to gently blot the stain. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the carpet fibers.
    • If your Vehilux™ Carpets become heavily soiled, you may need to remove them from the vehicle to deep-clean them. You can use a carpet cleaning machine or take the mat to a professional cleaner.
    • Allow your Vehilux™ Carpets to dry before placing them back in your vehicle. Lay them flat in a well ventilated area until they are completely dry
